Substitute Teaching Positions
Knox County Schools will accept substitute applications through Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Applications for the 2009-2010 may be picked up Monday through Wednesday only, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m, and applications MUST be obtained in person at the Knox County Schools Human Resources Office on the 15th Floor of the Andrew Johnson Building, 912 S. Gay Street. No applications will be given out on Thursday or Friday

You will be required to schedule and attend a substitute orientation class.  Orientation class will be held on Thursday only at the Knox Central Building.  Substitute applicants are required to have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.  Be prepared to bring your photo ID.

Substitute applicants will be required to complete pre-employment background screenings, with the cost totaling $78.00.

If you have moved, gotten married, have a new phone number or changed any other personal or contact information, please let Human Resources/Compensation know by updating the information with the Human Resources Department.  An address/name change form is available on the Human Resources homepage.  Please fax (594-3758) the completed form to Sherry Self, Human Resources, 15th floor.
